The MK Thy Kingdom Come Events for 2023 continued on Thursday evening with a Prayer event at St Mary’s, Shenley Church End entitled Give us this Day our Daily Bread.
We looked afresh at the words of the Lord’s prayer and how we can use it to enrich our prayer life. There were hymns, readings, music from One Voice - MK Christian Community Choir, creative reflections, and interactive ways of praying involving stones and post-it notes!
Thank you to Rev Ruth and team for their work putting this event together. Plenty of ideas for us to take away and use in our own prayer life.
St Mary’s is part of Watling Valley Ecumenical Partnership. WVEP are a diverse family of Christians in the west of MK, living with love, giving in grace and moving for mission. The partnership involves the Baptist Union, Church of England, Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church. They have five church buildings and a church school, ranging in age from the 12th Century to modern day, and some of these also serve as community centres during the week.
