A reminder that this evening, Wednesday
26th June, we are holding a Hustings Event for the Milton Keynes Central
parliamentary constituency at Christ the Cornerstone. We are delighted that all
6 candidates will be attending.
Hustings are
an election meeting where members of the public can listen to and ask questions
of the candidates who are standing for election. We’re organising these as a
public service, to support the democratic process, to facilitate public debate
and as a contribution to the common good. This opportunity for respectful
discussion in a neutral space is often appreciated by candidates as well as
voters.
The details are as follows:
- 8.00pm - 9.30pm, refreshments from 7.30pm
- The Church of Christ the Cornerstone, 300 Saxon Gate, Milton Keynes, MK9 2ES
- There is plenty of parking in front of the building
- The Husting will be live streamed on the Cornerstone youtube page here
This event is being organised jointly by Cornerstone and Churches Together in Milton Keynes and everyone is very welcome, of all faiths and none. Please share the details with your congregations, friends and neighbours.
