Macmillan Cancer Support | Community Action: MK

Community Action: MK have been working with Macmillan Cancer Support to develop a better understanding of the experiences of BAME and faith communities in Milton Keynes in relation to cancer and cancer services. This is because existing research suggests that these groups tend to have more negative experiences of cancer services.

Jay Kaur is a Community Development & Cancer Outreach Worker (Minority Ethnic & Faith Communities) with Community Action MK, in Partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support,

The main aim of the project is to engage directly with communities, build local capacity and connect BAME and faith groups with raising awareness and access to Cancer Support and information available from Macmillan and other cancer support services.  

Jay would like to connect with our churches to talk with them about what Macmillan Cancer Support can offer cancer patients and their carers/families. She can do a short presentation or have a pop up stand at one of your meetings or perhaps after your church service.
