Dear MK Eco Church Network friends
As you probably know the next MK Eco Church Network meeting will be held at Queensway Methodist Church in Bletchley on Saturday 5th April 2025 between 10.00am – 12.30pm. Queensway Methodist Church has achieved a Bronze Eco Church award and the Queensway Eco Church Group will be hosting our meeting. The church address is: Queensway, Fenny Stratford, Bletchley, Milton Keynes MK2 2HB.
The first half of the meeting will focus on hearing the lessons about the Queensway Eco Church journey, under the guidance of the Queensway Eco Church Group. Following the decision at our last meeting to include a theme at our meetings, I’m delighted to say that the second half of the meeting will include a talk about “Opportunities to Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle in Milton Keynes”, given by Marion Cole and Philippa Tipper, who lead the Repair Café movement in MK. The talk will be followed by group discussions about the role that churches can play in this movement. The draft agenda for the meeting will be:
- Prayer
- Welcome, introductions, and housekeeping
- Presentation by members of Queensway Eco Church Group, followed by questions and answers
- Presentation on: “Opportunities to Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle in Milton Keynes” by Marion Cole and Philippa Tripper, Repair Café Movement in MK
- Refreshments break
- Group discussions about participants’ experiences with Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle and prospects for the future
- Feedback from group discussions
- Forthcoming events and activities
- Close
