Milton Keynes Eco Church Network

The Milton Keynes Eco Church Network was formed in 2023 and includes all those churches that are interested in or have committed to becoming an Eco Church. This involves following the Eco Church Framework developed by A Rocha: https://ecochurch.arocha.org.uk/. The network members meet 3 times a year, which usually involves visiting a network member church to learn lessons about their Eco Church journey and discussing important issues about caring for creation and tackling climate change. Currently some 16 churches and 70 individual members have participated in the network’s activities.

The vision for the MK Eco Church Network, aligns with A Rocha’s vision, and is to create a network of churches across Milton Keynes as local centres of creation care in the community – shining beacons of hope for a brighter environmental future.

The objectives of MK Eco Church Network are that members will:

  • Learn about the concept and principles of Eco Church
  • Share experiences and lessons learned from churches on their Eco Church journeys, informed through visits to member churches and meetings
  • Identify opportunities for working together on specific activities, including local, national and global campaigns and events

If you or someone in your church are interested to find out more about the Milton Keynes Eco Church Network and become a member please contact Stuart Kean on mkecnetwork@ctmk.church
